Extractor vacuum attachment11/4/2023 ![]() Here, we show you how each vacuum attachment works and where it can be used. Dyson vacuums, the Dyson Humdinger came out on top as having the best attachments. Incidentally, this model was also our overall best cordless vacuum. If you have pets, you may want to purchase a vacuum for pet hair like the Tineco Pure One S15 Pro that comes with attachments for different tasks. Some of the best vacuum cleaners come with a standard attachment (like an extension wand or upholstery tool) that will help you get to those hard-to-reach spots or smaller nooks where crumbs and debris get trapped. Use them to do more work for you, with less elbow grease and effort on your part. In fact, the right accessories can help you clean anything from your headboards and mattresses to refrigerator coils and air vents. This versatile cleaning powerhouse can be used for a variety of household chores, which means you don't need a closet full of cleaning gadgets to tidy your home (especially if you know how to vacuum properly). For the price and if only cutting drywall it might be better to lay a flat wide vacuum nozzle in the area of cut and suck up dust without an attachment.Your vacuum isn't just made for the floors or carpets- shop vacs, in particular, can also clean up water, dirt, and larger debris. When using the Oscillating Multi-Tool Dust Extract attachment, the vacuum hose is a nuisance and can affect the accuracy of the cut. The adaptor does not include any instructions, so it was trial and error when first using the dust collector. For drywall, since the dust is so fine, I would recommend a using a centrifugal separator to remove the fine dust before the filter in the vacuum cleaner. Adaptor to connect to the dust collector. To connect a vacuum cleaner, I used a1.25-inch O.D. Putting on the collector and taking it off it feels as though the plastic is going to break but it holds together. When removing the dust collector use the nozzle and gently lift in the direction of the nozzle and it will come off. Next push the dust-collector on the blade side of the multi-tool. To connect the dust-collector to the multi-tool you have to remove the oscillating blade first. I tried this after cutting my piece of drywall and then just vacuuming up the dust. With the blade in flat position the dust collector did an ok job. When the Multi-Tool is tipped up on edge to cut drywall the suction at the dust extractor is severely reduced and does a poor job of collecting dust. Unfortunately, the dust collection adaptor is designed to work with blade in a flat position. When cutting an 8-foot-long edge a lot of dust is generated (you should wear a face mask). The Multi-Tool works great when cutting openings for outlets, light switches or when needing to cut a long narrow edge on a sheet of drywall (especially when the edge is narrow and difficult to score with a knife and break by hand). I got the Milwaukee Oscillating Multi-Tool Dust Extract attachment to help eliminate drywall dust when using my Milwaukee Multi-Tool to cut drywall. The attachment may work with a 1 ½" hose but I could not test that. Maybe I can grind down this ledge, or maybe there is another dust extractor attachment that would work with the multi-tool. I have a corded multi-tool with a dust attachment but would definitely prefer the cordless Milwaukee multi-tool which works well for all other applications. I really wanted the dust extractor attachment to work since my primary use of the multi-tool is for sanding. The adapter which comes with the Packout vacuum does not work either. Although it also has a 1 1/4" hose ending, it too cannot get past the ½" ledge so it will not work either. I also have a new Milwaukee Packout 2.5 gal. However, the ridge ½" into the attachment (see photo) prevents the hose from going into the attachment more than the ½" which is not sufficient for a secure fit. I have a corded shop vac with a 1 1/4" hose which is supposed to work with the attachment. Unfortunately, after considerable trying, it does not fit any of my three shop vacuums. The attachment fits easily on the Milwaukee Multi-tool and the orientation may be readily adjusted. FITS ON MULTI-TOOL DOES NOT FIT ON VACUUMS - The Milwaukee M12/M18 FUEL Oscillating Multi-Tool Dust Extractor Accessory Kit is not a kit, it is just the dust extractor attachment.
